The Farmer and The Sparrows

The Farmer and The Sparrows

The Farmer and the Sparrows

Once upon a time, there was a farmer who owned a large wheat field. Every year, he worked hard to grow crops, hoping for a good harvest. But one year, a group of sparrows started eating his wheat. The farmer was upset because the birds were ruining his hard work. The farmer thought to himself, “If I don’t stop these sparrows, they will eat all my wheat.” He decided to set a trap. He spread a net over part of the field and scattered some grains of wheat on it to attract the birds.

The Farmer and The Sparrows

The next day, a flock of sparrows flew down to eat the grains. As they landed on the net, they got caught. The sparrows flapped their wings and chirped loudly, trying to escape. Among them was a small, young sparrow who spoke up. The young sparrow said to the farmer, “Oh kind farmer, please have mercy on us! We didn’t mean to cause you trouble. We were just hungry.”

The farmer paused and thought about the little sparrow’s words. He looked at the sparrows struggling in the net. He realized they were not greedy but only trying to survive. The farmer said, “I work hard to grow this wheat, and it’s not fair for you to eat it without asking. But I understand that everyone needs food to live.”

With that, the farmer gently removed the net and let the sparrows go free. The birds chirped joyfully and flew away, promising not to harm the farmer’s crops again. From that day on, the sparrows stayed away from the wheat field, and the farmer found other ways to protect his crops.

Moral of the story: The story teaches us about kindness and understanding. Even when we are upset, we should think before taking harsh actions. Just like the farmer, we can solve problems with compassion instead of anger.

The Donkey in the Well

The Donkey in the Well

Once upon a time, a farmer had a donkey that worked hard on his farm. The donkey was old but still helped carry loads and plow the fields. One day, while walking through the farm, the donkey accidentally fell into an old, dry well. The well was deep, and the donkey couldn’t climb out. It brayed loudly for help. The farmer rushed over and saw the donkey stuck at the bottom of the well. He felt sorry for the animal but didn’t know how to rescue it. The farmer thought about it and decided the well was too dangerous to leave open. He thought the donkey was too old to save and decided to fill the well to close it.

The farmer called his neighbors to help. They brought shovels and started throwing dirt into the well. When the donkey realized what was happening, it panicked and brayed louder. But as the dirt fell, the donkey suddenly had an idea. Each time dirt fell on its back, the donkey shook it off and stepped up on the new layer of dirt. The people kept shoveling, unaware of what the donkey was doing. Slowly, as more dirt filled the well, the donkey rose higher and higher. After some time, the well was almost full, and the donkey simply stepped out and walked away! The farmer and the neighbors were amazed. They laughed and patted the donkey, admiring its cleverness and will to survive.

Moral of the story: This story teaches an important lesson: when life throws challenges or "dirt" at you, don’t give up. Shake it off and step up, just like the donkey did. With determination and a positive attitude, you can overcome any difficulty.

The Farmer and His Donkey

The Farmer and His Donkey

Once upon a time, there was a kind farmer who owned a hardworking donkey. Every day, the donkey helped the farmer carry heavy loads of goods to the market. The donkey was old, but it was loyal and always did its best. One morning, the farmer loaded sacks of salt onto the donkey’s back and started walking toward the market. It was a hot day, and the road was long. As they walked, they came to a narrow bridge that crossed a small river. While crossing the bridge, the donkey slipped and fell into the water. When the donkey got up, something surprising happened. The sacks of salt had dissolved in the water, making the load much lighter. The donkey was happy and continued walking with ease.

The clever donkey realized something—if it fell into the water, its load would become lighter. The next day, when the farmer loaded salt again and they reached the river, the donkey pretended to slip and fell into the water on purpose. Once more, the salt dissolved, and the donkey’s load was light. The farmer quickly noticed what the donkey was doing. He decided to teach it a lesson. The next day, instead of salt, the farmer filled the sacks with sponges and loaded them onto the donkey’s back. As usual, the donkey pretended to slip and fell into the river. But this time, the sponges soaked up the water and became very heavy. The donkey struggled to stand and had to carry the much heavier load all the way to the market. The donkey learned its lesson. From that day on, it stopped playing tricks and worked hard without complaining. The farmer was pleased, and they continued to live and work together peacefully.

Moral of the story: This story teaches us that trying to avoid work or responsibilities can sometimes backfire. It’s better to be honest and do our duties properly.
